Found this pub while looking for a place close by our hotel. The Ship Tavern has a dining area upstairs which is very nice and quiet. We sat downstairs and enjoyed the music which was loud. The service was good, the beer was really cold - tried the local beer which was excellent. We had a few appetisers: the beef croquettes and beer battered onion rings. We both had and enjoyed a huge fish & chips plate. This is a great place to go and eat and drink!

Beautiful pub inside and out. Dog friendly, staff are great, coffee & wine were good. Will definitely be back to eat as the food on the menu looked really tasty and unlike the typical pub fare... Came back for food, wasn't disappointed at all. Great tasting food, cooked perfectly.

The friendliest staff and the best food you will find in London. At lunchtime, The Oak Room upstairs is perfect for business meetings over delicious food. In the evenings, the atmosphere is livelier with a high-quality and varied menu, complemented by an excellent wine list and inspired cocktails. Try the signature steak and ale pie, fish and chips or lemon sole. Highly recommended.
